What Is This?

One guy's attempt to put things in perspective. To reflect on the good and the bad, the sad and the mad. And hopefully, to laugh at it all.

Done. Kaput. Ich habe gefinischen. Oh shit did I just do that? The good news is, I will never have to take another German class for as long as I live. The better news is that I actually feel sorta confident that I can now carry on a 5th grade conversation in German. German speaking US employers, here I come!

To celebrate, I'm going to check out my friend's new band tonight (Bugsy's at 12 & Dequindre. Be there!) The band's name is Mirage, which is funny because the moon is sort of a mirage tonight. On a side note, does anyone else think the moon looks like Charlie Brown? Without my glasses, I could swear I see two little ears poking out from either side. Hmmmm...... Anyway, the moon rose tonight over Utica. Bright orange. Huge. And at midnight - it's gone (not really, but couldn't help the fairy tale reference).

So, I guess I don't really have much to say tonight. A friend infromed me the other day her potential eventual destination is Savannah, GA. It suits her, I think. At least a part of her. Graceful, mysterious, intriguing. Except for the knowledge that she hates the cold though, I could see her being happy and successful wherever she is. In fact, I'd bet my life on it. I mean, not to be trite. I'm talking one of those people who plants her happiness in her backyard, cultivates it, loves it, waters it, bathes in it, harvests it, and devours it. Savannah, I hope you are ready for this.

Goodnight, sleepy dreamers
